IN ADVANCED MANUFACTURING, MACHINES DO ALL THE HEAVY LIFTING

But who programs those machines? You do.

You’ll use machine language (G Code or M Code – if you’re interested) to write different programs for each part that needs to be machined. By the way, a CNC machine is a large piece of equipment that uses different tools (almost like big drill bits) to cut, drill, polish, or whatever else might need to be done to turn a block of metal or plastic into a finished piece. Of course, to program the machine you’ll also need to know what tools need to be used to create the right results, so you’ll work with engineers and CAD / CAM Technicians to find the best solution to every machining need.
