SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO JUMP IN

When you want to dive headfirst into manufacturing without spending years in college (or perhaps while you’re getting your degree), a packaging role is a great place to start.

Your day to day activities would be working at the end of the production process, putting finished products into the packages they are going in to ship to customers. These packaging task could range from separating the right number of ball bearings into small boxes, or wrapping and packing a large, intricate part carefully, so as to avoid damage during transit. No matter what you’re packing, you should be kept busy throughout the day with a wide range of tasks, handling parts and products of all different shapes and sizes. You’ll enjoy this career most if you’re the kind of person who likes to work with your hands and who gets satisfaction from seeing how much you accomplished in a day.
