EVERY GOOD ENGINEER NEEDS A WINGMAN

That wingman is a trusty Technician – always solving problems and making sure the engineer’s designs can be executed correctly.

As a Technician, you’re like the trusty sidekick to the engineers – you have a good amount of engineering knowledge and you use it under their guidance to modify or calibrate machines for each specific job. Maybe a new part has an unusually tight corner, or a very unique series of cuts that require the machine to operate at a slower, more precise speed – whatever the challenge is, your knowledge of machines and materials will ensure that everything an engineer designs can be manufactured to their exact specifications. Day to day you will test and calibrate machines, set up new machines for new production workflows, analyze dials and computer readouts to ensure machines are operating within the right parameters, and adjust accordingly.
