This program is a hands-on, career experience opportunity. By teaching you the basic skills needed to use lathes and milling machines, you will be prepared to enter the workforce in the manufacturing area. In addition, you will learn to use precision-measuring hand tools as they relate to milling and lathing machines that will also provide you with a basis upon which skills for additional precision hand tools could be developed. Emphasis is placed upon acquiring collegiate level manufacturing/machine skills that are supported by related classes in mathematics, manufacturing processes, computers, drafting/blueprint reading, communication skills and liberal arts.
